River system- Process Model

alt text

The Lateral inflow and the flow hydrograph would be the input of the river system and output would be the predicted flow from the model.

1) Assign Input flow hydrograph to the upstream cross section. 2) Choose the nearest USGS station to the upstream cross section 3) Choose the nearest cross section to the USGS station. 4) Run the model 5) Compare the model output at the nearest USGS station cross section with the observed USGS value and 6) Adjust the input flow hydrograph by the same percentage error. Since the Ohio river model also takes Uniform Lateral inflow to account, the uniform lateral inflow could also be modified.
