Basic Smoke Test and Reference Scans

Reference Datasets

HeadneckCT

Standard known-good CT dataset and primary setup smoke test.

CTA_Head_and_Neck

Larger CT dataset useful for testing:

  • Loading
  • Rendering
  • Performance

T1 Post-Contrast MRI

Known-good MRI useful for checking:

  • MR modality detection
  • MRI rendering behavior
  • MRI-specific cutting

Basic Setup Verification

  1. Start Orthanc.
  2. Confirm the Orthanc interface loads at http://localhost:8042.
  3. Start OperSight with yarn start.
  4. Confirm OperSight loads at http://localhost:3000.
  5. Add HeadneckCT to Orthanc.
  6. Confirm the study appears in Studies.
  7. Load a series.
  8. Confirm modality detection is correct.
  9. Confirm the 3D volume renders successfully.

For broader regression testing, repeat the process with:

  • CTA_Head_and_Neck
  • T1 post-contrast MRI

DICOMweb Adapter Test

The DICOMweb adapter can also be tested with:

npx vitest run src/services/pacs/dicomWebAdapter.test.js
