Known Issues
Surgical Pathway Overlay Desynchronization
Status: Intermittent / not reliably reproducible
During 3D rotation, the Surgical Pathway overlay can occasionally become fixed relative to the screen while the volume continues to rotate.
This causes the pathway overlay to become visually misaligned with the anatomy.
Future Investigation
Verify that the pathway overlay and rendered volume receive the same camera/transformation updates and determine where they can become desynchronized.
Rendering Performance Presets
Status: Needs review
OperSight has three user-selectable rendering presets:
- High Quality
- Balanced
- Performance
Each preset contains settings for:
normalIdlecropIdlecropInteractive
The selected preset is stored in local storage under:
rksp.renderQualityPreset
cropInteractive is internally routed to the existing interactionLow rendering state.
cropInteractive is intended to favor responsiveness relative to cropIdle, but some current numerical settings do not clearly follow that hierarchy.
For example, the High Quality preset currently uses:
cropInteractive
- Sample distance:
0.8 - Maximum samples/ray:
400
cropIdle
- Sample distance:
0.9 - Maximum samples/ray:
300
These settings should be reviewed rather than assuming that the current naming matches actual performance behavior.
