Meetings
May 05/25/23 (2pm - 3:30 pm EST)
- 2-3 years they might be ready to take on something like this.
- Pretty busy with their other things currently.
- They haven't looked at any others to test/see results.
- The software they have now they've been using for 15 years, pulling in all the data they have, looks at street improvements with cities.
- They have a relationship with Cinci WW and Thomas Moore at their biological field station.
- They don't have any sensors on the Licking, but something they'd be interested in, especially lately.
- ~16k pipe segments
- ~1300 miles, slow growth
- ~365 breaks/yr
- Correlate breaks with weather? Extreme cold and extreme dry result in spikes, in their experiences.
- 20 years of data in computers.
- One person at NKWD who does GIS (ArcGIS desktop).
- Have we looked at predictive replacement savings? Or have any of the utilities done that savings calculation? This conversation is just starting.
- Prioritization of pipes to repair/replace? Bringing in other parameters (such as city street improvements).
- Main and service pipe replacements at the same time.
- TODO: Jake, Send them an email regarding mounting some of our sensors on NKWD property.
